Dr Tecoa N Turner is a general pediatrician with a special interest in asthma, having most recently served on the Pediatric Asthma Coalition for the Capital Region. Dr. Turner attended the NY College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her pediatric training at the University Hospital at Stony Brook where she served as Chief Resident. Dr Turner is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and has admitting privileges at Ellis Hospital.

She is a former National Health Service Corps Scholar, where she served the eastern Long Island, rural northern Florida, South Bronx and Schenectady communities promoting early childhood literacy as the Reach Out and Read site coordinator. Dr Turner has also been a cultural competency educator.

When not seeing patients, Dr Turner enjoys community outreach, reading, traveling, dancing and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Andy is a recent LPN graduate and CapitalCare Pediatrics is his first position in healthcare. Andy has a BA in communications, however after a personal family event he was able to witness first-hand the dedication of healthcare personnel and immediately pursued his nursing career. Marie S. has been a receptionist at our practice since 2007. She began her career at Capital Care in Family Practice Guilderland in 2003. Marie was promoted to secretary in 2011. Marie also enjoys practicing her background in Cosmetology in her free time. She is in our office from 8:00 to 6:0 on Tuesday through Friday. Marie can be reached at (518) 371-8000 extension 2276.
